Creative Notes

This is just part of a pattern on the bottom of coin tray that was sitting around the house. It's is an area about one quarter the surface of a dime. Many of the details seen in this photograph are not even readily visible to the eye.

Technical Notes

This image is actually half of a photograph taken at the closest range possible with the 100 mm Macro Lens. The original was more sharply focused on one side because the camera was not perfectly perpendicular to the tray when it was taken. Also by cropping the photographer was able to show even more detail.
