Conservatory Flower
Purple Flower

Creative Notes

With the widest angle my little camera could muster, this small cluster of flowers looks like an explosion of purple shades.  What I found striking about the petals of this flower was the manner in which the purple faded into almost white, as though it had been painted by a brush.  (This images is really what it looked like)

Technical Notes

This image was taken in landscape mode (16:9) and I did some cropping to make it fit on my screen as a background.  I adjusted the levels and just touched the saturation, but didn't do much to this photograph.  The outward facing flowers are made to seem more extreme by the wide ange at which this image was taken.  I was about six inches from the flower.
