Damascus Gate
jer-01-350.jpg

Creative Notes

During the day the Damascus Gate is a busy market selling all kinds of produce and teeming with people. When this gate is seen at night, it seems like something entirely different. It is well lit and from the ground level it looks more like a medieval castle than the entrance into the Old City.

Technical Notes

This photograph is taken from the street level which is parallel with the top of the doorway so there is little perspective distortion. The image has been color balanced for the arson lights located above me so the Tungsten lighting inside appears yellow.
