Temple Mount and the Old City
jer-12-350.jpg

Creative Notes

When composing this image, I was focused on balancing three key points: The Dome of the Rock, Dormition Abby (in the upper right) and the curving street in the corner below which leads up to Mt. Scopus where I am standing. From this viewpoint, the whole length of the Old City can be seen, from the Temple Mount to Mt. Zion.

Technical Notes

This photo is color balanced for the white lights of the Temple Mount and so it stands out among the yellow light of the street lamps. The lens has been stopped all the way down to f/13 to make bursting stars of the bright lights.
