Al-Aqsa Mosque Dome
jer-11-350.jpg

Creative Notes

High overhead in on of the most important sites of Islam can be seen this beautiful and ornate dome. I fragmented the photo is this manner because it captured the details of the dome along with its surroundings. The chain hanging from the center give some depth and a sense of perspective to the image. I was standing right underneath one of the four arches, the top of which can be seen in the upper left hand corner.

Technical Notes

I was shooting at f/8 to get the most out of my wide-angle zoom lens and was forced to use a small portable tripod. The image is overexposed in the areas of light from the windows but the details which are most important are those of the dome.
