Back in December, Bacanal used one of my photographs in their wine magazine, but I've only now got my hands on a copy. No, it's not the cover photograph. It's just an image of a wine bottle which I placed in the sun. I took a couple bottles with a friend up to Santa Lucia to take photos of "Wine and Santiago". This one is sitting on a fence post which is nicely cropped out of the photo. The light is coming from behind the bottle and so it really makes it look radient. You can see the city below in the bottle, though it's distorted. I had to hold my had up just out of the frame to keep the bright sun from glaring into the lens. I also needed a hand to hold myself up on the fence. I needed a third hand to hold the camera and take the picture. It was ... interesting.
