The Photographer's Sister
135_3549-350.jpg

Creative Notes

This is my sister during Christmas of 2003. We still had our dearly departed cat, Bill, at the time. I love the way we are looking down her beautiful face and all of her features are more pronounced. Her jewelry adds a nice touch and the acting of kissing her cat's head makes it a warm photograph.

Technical Notes

This image originally included Bill's eyes but they had a terrible reflection from the camera's flash. After playing around with cropping him out, I came up with this composition. I much prefer the insinuation of a cat to the whole cat itself.
