Santiago Hyatt Interior
crw_1547-300.jpg

Creative Notes

Seeing the Hyatt from the inside is like standing in another world. The twin elevators rise in the middle like shuttles on the surface of a science fiction spaceship. The rings of the floors rise up to the the cool night sky as though you were standing in a missile.

Technical Notes

Leaning back and looking upward, I knew that I wanted to capture the presense of this interior. I did so by using including the glass ceiling and the lights rising to it, but also as much of the base of the elevator as possible to ground the photograph.
